All Western Australians should be concerned and alarmed when property developers and landowners like Christ Church Grammar School seek spot rezonings to make windfall gains at the expense of surrounding neighbours and the community.  Playing fields and sporting ovals are in short supply, especially for girls’ sport, and destroying these facilities for profit is against both good town planning and community interest.   

Friends of Mount Claremont Fields have run public advertisements against the Christ Church Grammar School Council to highlight what it has been up to and how the leadership and behaviour of the school Council has fallen well short of the school’s own stated values.
